The True and Magnificent Power of Giving

You've probably heard of the popular saying "It's better to give than to receive." But do you actually know what hidden power lies within this magnanimous act known as "giving?"

When you give something from your heart without expecting anything in return, you release a powerful force that will trigger your good deed to "bounce" back to you in amazing, and sometimes unusual ways.

I firmly believe that whatever you impart to others will come back to you a hundred fold. You are doing yourself a big favor by helping someone in need. By doing even the smallest acts of generosity, you are inviting good vibrations to come into your life.

You would be earning the respect and love of your recipients. You know that you will always have a loyal group of friends who would help, protect, and do anything for you just because they feel that they have to repay you in any way they can. Most people would have the urge or drive to reciprocate any act of kindness you've shown them.

However, this does not mean that you must expect them to repay you. Give without any expectation of rewards. Don't do it just because you have an ulterior motive. Give unconditionally. Give because you are happy doing it. The universe will get back to you in its own special way.

Speaking of happiness, the act of giving can summon the spirit of joy to come into your heart. How would you feel when you've given something to your less fortunate neighbors? Let me tell you that nothing could brighten up my day more than hearing them express their most heartfelt gratitude and seeing their smiles extend from ear to ear.

Giving is also a healthy habit. It could prolong your life by instilling within you an inner sense of peace and accomplishment.

Just like all things in life, giving has its limitations. Being too generous can have its toll. Your kindness might be taken advantage of and people might abuse your good intentions. Beware of individuals who are continuously seeking your aid. It's better to teach them how to solve their problems than to always attend to their needs.

As one saying goes ...

"Give them some fish and you'll feed them for a day. Teach them how to fish and you'll feed them for a lifetime."

Lastly, here's what I consider the most important rule about giving. Keep your good deeds to yourself. Don't announce to the whole world that you've donated $100,000 to your favorite charity or that you've helped save a child from a life-threatening disease.

If you really desire to give, do it secretly and in private. Some people would write "anonymous" rather than their own names when they've made a contribution. The universe smiles upon these individuals, and they will get their just rewards in due time.

Now that you know how wonderful it is to give, would you go out to the world and share your blessings?

IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTH

How To Become A Powerhouse Of Possibility

If we're ever going to achieve anything of significance in this lifetime we must have a purpose GREATER than ourselves. It is this PURPOSE that will thrust us out of the world of mediocrity and into the world of the winner and the achiever.

So how do we find our purpose? Good question.

There are probably a million answers to that question but let me share from my own experience. Maybe a bit of that will help you to discover your own personal strategy. ALL OF US ARE DIFFERENT BUT WE CAN AT LEAST LEARN CERTAIN PRINCIPLES FROM ANOTHER'S LIFE.

The first thing that I did was this: I decided that I was going to be proud of who I was and of what I could do. I also decided that I was a person who had great value. I didn't get concerned as to what others said or thought about me. I began to develop my own BELIEF in my own abilities. THIS WAS IMPORTANT.

Once that was firmly fixed in my mind, I began to identify my STRENGTHS. NOW WHAT ARE STRENGTHS? They're the things that come to you naturally. The things that you do with a natural flair. You actually enjoy doing them.

SO, THIS IS WHAT I DID....... I TOOK A PIECE OF BLANK PAPER AND DREW A LINE DOWN THE MIDDLE. On the left hand side I wrote my strengths (the things I'm naturally good at) and on the right hand side I wrote my weaknesses (the things I don't find easy to do). Once I had done that, I started to major on my strengths in everything I did, and as I could, I started to delegate my weaknesses to others who were more gifted in those areas. Let's face it! We can't do everything.

It took me nearly ten years to finally realize this and even today as I face new situations and challenges I constantly ask myself the question, 'What are my strengths?' I find that I am the most happiest when I am doing what I love doing (thinking and writing). For me, these things are easy to do and I get great joy out of it.

Because I've learn to ask this question constantly I now, AFTER MANY YEARS OF LEARNING, make my living out of my strengths.

At the same time I delegate my weaknesses. The result is this. I do what I love to do every day of my life. WORK TO ME HAS BECOME FUN BECAUSE I'M USING MY STRENGTHS.

So in a nutshell, here is one way that can help you to clearly DISCOVER your PURPOSE.

=============================================

#1. IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTH
#2. IDENTIFY YOUR WEAKNESS
#3. MAJOR ON YOUR STRENGTH
#4. DELEGATE YOUR WEAKNESS

The Positive Power of Forgetting

Bad habits, bad relationships, bad surroundings, bad thoughts and emotions. Many of these are things that could be hindering or holding you back from becoming the type of person you want to be.

Use your mind and your thought process to completely diffuse and wipe out any thoughts of returning to those unhealthy habits, negative behaviors, circumstances,
relationships or environments that have brought you down in the past. Close the door forever. Lock the door, and throw away the key. Turn around, walk away, and don't look
back.

Use the positive power of quitting, and the power of positive forgetting to lift you to a new level of living. Begin to dwell on the many benefits that will come into your life as a result of the positive thoughts and actions that you have made.

Forget about the old path and stay on the new path. Stay on the new path by using the positive power of forgetting. Forgetting the past, and focusing on the future will bring you a new life of success and fulfillment.

Sincerely,

The Positive Power of Quitting

The Positive Power of Quitting
by Jim Allen

I'm a big believer in quitting. I think it's a good thing. You should do more of it. Yes, I did say quitting and -- yes -- I did say you should do more of it! Sound odd? I'm not surprised. Maybe it's that neat-o 'survival instinct' of yours kicking in. Or maybe after years and years of hearing the old saw 'A winner never quits and a quitter never wins' you came to believe it.

After all, since we were very young, 'quitting' has been defined as something negative. Real life, however, shows us that quitting is very often a positive force in our lives.

Don't believe me? Try quitting a few of these things:

--Quit using (or abusing) tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, food.

--Quit doing the things that aren't bringing you the results you want.

--Quit procrastinating and you find yourself less rushed and harried.

--Quit putting up with damaging, abusive, and negative relationships (at home and at work).

--Quit jobs and volunteer work that don't truly bring you joy.

--Quit being in relationships that are abusive.

--Quit feeling miserable for yourself and being miserable about stuff beyond your control.

--Quit trying to be everything, to do everything, and to have everything.

If you can quit just one of these things, you'll be creating positive action in your life. But you have to quit first. It's a simple idea most of us overlook: To really be a winner, you have to be able to stop doing stuff that's not good for you!

So quit waiting... and take action!
