Would You Recognize Success If It Bit You On the Nose?

What if you were to look at your life from the perspective of what you have already achieved instead of what you haven't yet achieved?

What if you are already experiencing high levels of abundance, prosperity and success and they are not something "out there" in the far distance that you need to desperately chase after and capture?

While it's important to strive to achieve your ever-evolving goals, dreams and visions, don't get so caught up in chasing after them that you miss out on the joys, achievements and blessings of your life in the here and now.

If you can't savor your life as it is right now and have fallen into the habit of focusing on what is lacking, what is not working well and what you are striving to accomplish, then you are setting yourself up for failure rather than success.

Why? Because most of life is made up of journeying towards destinations rather than arriving at them. Find joy in the journey. If you cannot do this you are unlikely to suddenly experience happiness when you reach one of your destinations.

Are your goals and efforts to achieve them improving the quality of your journey by making you a happier, more focused and productive person?

Or is your quest for success causing you to view your current circumstances as weak, bad, stressful and unwanted ?

Ultimately, it is your inner attitudes and not your outer achievements that will determine the quality of your life both here and now and in the future.

I encourage you to make the choice to enjoy and be grateful for the successes and blessings of your current situation. Otherwise, you just might find yourself unable recognize success in the future, even if it bit you on the nose!
